WOW~ What a time I had with this. I am so not cut out to work with computers. I finally figured out how to do this but I still don't know how to do some things. I really wanted to make my son and his snowman smaller but COULD NOT for the life of me figure it out, so I decided before I ruin the whole thing I would post what I got and play with it a little more after. This program is really neat but holy cow do I need to spend some more time with it.

Perspective

This week I did a little research on different compositions related to photography. One interesting article that I found explains Perspective. The site describes 8 different perspectives related to photography. I found all of them very interesting and I could write forever if I was to explain them all. The web address is http://photoinf.com?General?NAVY/Perspective.htm The site also shows pictures to explain each one. One quote that I found in the site was "When you know the principles of perspective and skillfully apply them, the photographs you produce show a good rendition of the subject's form and shape, and the viewer is given the sensation of volume, space, depth and distance." If any of you have a free minute to check out this site it goes into great detail to explain this all very well.

This plant sits in a big bay window at my parents house. The top picture was taken late at night, the second was mid-morning and the last was on a rainy afternoon. I tried to get the same angle of the flower each time and I used the same settings on my camera with all three. The two pictures that worked the best were the top one and the bottom one. I had an idea in my head about when I would take the three pictures and I really thought that the daylight one would come out the best. The night time picture and the rainy day picture really show the color of the flower where the daylight one shows the red of the flower but not the yellow inside it. If I had to pick a favorite it would be the rainy day one on the bottom!

Color Schemes~

I'm not really sure if I did this right but here's what I got. The leaves would be an example of complementary colors. If you wanted to focus on one area of one leaf you could use it as an example of analogous color scheme, but to look at the whole picture you can see the red and green which are opposite each other on the color wheel. The second picture is the one I am using for an example of an analogous color scheme. This is a picture I took of a tropical bird and I zoomed in on it's feathers to show the colors. It's a little blurry due to cropping and trying to zoom in but I think you can see enough to understand what I am trying to show.
